PhD in a laboratory or within the framework of an industrial contract through research (CIFRE – Research agreement with industry), specialist school, (School of petroleum and motors, IFP – Institut Français du Pétrole etc.), master’s degree specializing in management.

Earth science graduates occupy positions as research engineers, construction site engineers and research and development engineers in the following sectors: civil engineering, building and public works, foundations, mineral resource, petroleum, natural disasters, geoscience, water resources, the environment, etc.

YEAR 4

  • Geology for engineers (including fieldwork)

  • Geophysical prospecting (including fieldwork)
  • Data processing and computer science    
  • Concrete
  • 8 week internship

YEAR 5

  • Engineering geology, hydrogeology, borehole logging, geothermal
  • Final internship (20 – 24 weeks) with a dissertation and its defence
  • Two specialization options:
  • 1) Geophysics-Geotechnics : Foundations, structures, modeling
  • 2) Hydrosciences : Bio-geo-chemistry, hydrology, environmental risks
