Further studies

This master's degree prepares to graduate schools and careers in research and higher education in the disciplines of environment are: astronomy, physical oceanography, biological oceanography, geosciences, climatology, science of the biosphere and ecosystems, ecology and functional ecology of biodiversity.

Professional Integration

It also offers opportunities in instrumentation in environmental management databases, remote sensing, geographic information systems, management of marine and terrestrial, land use, rehabilitation of degraded sites, management and enhancement of biodiversity.

(30 credits) or EU course (12 ECTS) and internship (18 ECTS) or EU course (6 ECTS) and internship (24 ECTS)


8 specializations are offered in Semester 2:


  • OACOS (Ocean, Atmosphere, Climate and Space Observations):
    dynamic processes, physical and chemical in the atmosphere and the ocean climate system, training in remote sensing.
  • OEM (Oceanography and marine environment):
    fundamental and practical knowledge on major biogeochemical cycles in the global ocean and their evolution, structure and functioning of marine ecosystems, human-environment relations in marine environments.
  • ECH (Continental Environments and Hydrosciences):
    land surface functioning at different scales: molecular and mineralogical plot and watershed implications for the global environment and sustainable development.
  • Geosciences:
    research careers in geology, hydrogeology, hydrology, paleontology, geophysics, geochemistry and geotechnical methods of measurement and modeling in Earth sciences
  • EBE (Ecology, Biodiversity, Evolution)
    organization and classification of biodiversity, mechanisms of emergence, maintenance and evolution, biology of organisms and species apprehended in their entirety and within ecosystems.
  • SEP (Systematics, Evolution, Paleobiodiversity):
    study temporal and spatial diversity and evolution of biological organisms, taxonomy, phylogenetic systematics, paleontology.
