European Research Strategy

Sorbonne University is committed to the development of the European Research Area. The University’s research strategy directly supports European priorities and Sorbonne University is one of France’s most active participants in EU-sponsored research projects. The latest European initiative, Horizon 2020, has calls for projects specifically designed to boost Europe's knowledge-driven economy, and address societal challenges that to improve the quality of life. These goals are fully aligned with Sorbonne University—and Sorbonne University—strategic plans.

 

Sorbonne University is currently a member of three of the five Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs), selected by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT): EIT Digital, Climate-KIC and EIT Health

 

With the University’s European Office supplying a full range of support for researchers, Sorbonne Université is continuing this level of activity in the new Horizon 2020 calls.
