Research Federation: Fundamental Interactions - FR 2687

The Fédération de recherche "Interactions Fondamentales" (FRIF) brings together three Paris laboratories, the LPNHE (Laboratoire de Physique Nucléaire et Hautes Energies, directed by P. Debu), the LPT-ENS (Laboratoire de Physique Théorique de l'Ecole Normale Supérieure, directed by B. Julia) and LPTHE (Laboratoire de Physique Théorique et Hautes Energies, directed by O. Babelon). Its activities cover theoretical physics and experimental particle and astroparticle physics. A partnership with the new Chair "Particules élémentaires, gravitation et cosmologie'' of the Collège de France (G. Veneziano) complements this federation, whose purpose is to increase the exchanges between laboratories and to strengthen their scientific life, through the organization of common seminars, visits of foreign scientists, lectures at (post)doctoral level and research workshops. Some of these activities are to be carried out in partnership with other laboratories, external to the federation, in particular with the laboratory APC (AstroParticle and Cosmology).

All of these activities are of course open to interactions with other French and foreign laboratories. Everybody is thus welcome to participate in the scientific events, possibly upon registration when it is requested (lectures and workshops).

The FRIF Federation de recherche is a CNRS entity, (FR 2687), financed by the Ministère de l'Education Nationale, de l'Enseignement Supérieur et de la Recherche.
