Environments, Transfers & Interactions in Hyrosystems and Soil (METIS) - UMR 7619

The METIS laboratory's work focuses on water cycles and the elements it carries. They therefore include all the processes that control these cycles, whether hydrological, geological, atmospheric, geochemical and biogeochemical, in an interdisciplinary approach.

Modeling and geophysical methods are important tools in this context.

The laboratory is specifically concentrating on:

  • Water resources and thier management
  • Anthropogenic alteration of water in aquatic environments
  • Geophysical prospecting and possible hydrological and archaeological applications
  • Mineral and energy resources and waste storage
