ERC Starting Grants

ERC Starting Grants provide funding for research projects conducted by researchers with 2 to 7 years of experience since completion of their PhD.

Starting Grant laureates may be awarded up to €1.5 million for a period of 5 years, allowing them to develop excellent breakthrough research with the team of their choice.

The sole criterion for application proposals is scientific excellence.
