The largest Parisian event dedicated to science, the Fête de la Science at Sorbonne University takes place every October.

Primary school teachers bring their classes to visit Sorbonne University where they can play science games, participate in workshops, speak with scientists, and visit the geological exhibition. More than 100 scientists from the humanities, medicine, science and engineering welcome students to engage in scientific experimentation.

The 2022 edition: "The world is changing, so is science" proposes a tour of the Pierre and Marie Curie campus, the Cordeliers Research Center, the Pitié-Salpêtrière campus and the Saint-Antoine Research Center.

On the weekends, the general public is invited to join in, to speak directly with scientists, as well as visit the laboratories. On the program: workshops, laboratory visits, stands, conferences and exhibitions. The Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation organizes the annual Fête de la Science. This national event aims to promote science to the general public. It allows the public to discuss scientific topics free of charge in a direct relationship with its actors.

The national Science Festival was first established in 1991 to promote science, sharing between scientist and citizens, and to facilitate access to quality scientific information.
