"Current measurements in the microscale and below: RF amplification and electrochemical shot-noise"
Abstract : Measuring the current at the micro- and nanoscale in liquid is critical for a wide range of applications ranging from bio- and electrochemical sensors to batteries. Among the different techniques existing to tackle this challenge, two original approaches are presented :
- Capacitive amplification through RF nanoprobe with attoampere resolution
- Electrochemical shot-noise as a way to molecule kinetics
The consequences on the measurement paradigm for electrochemical sensors is further explored, with perspectives of extended resolution of existing devices and further studies in single-molecule electrochemistry
