The LRS is pleased to announce
The first MECAREACT Thematic School on “Electronic and vibrational spectroscopies applied to reaction mechanisms”
which will be held in Paris from June 18 to June 23, 2023.

The School will cover all the main fields of electronic and vibrational spectroscopies applied to the investigation of reaction mechanisms in various fields of chemistry (photochemistry, biochemistry, catalysis, etc.). It aims at establishing a common framework for the different scientific communities using the above spectroscopies for investigating reaction mechanisms. It will provide the tools to understand which kind of information vibrational and electronic spectroscopy techniques (IR, Raman, Resonance Raman, UV-Vis, fluorescence, etc.) can bring in the investigation of reaction mechanisms, and enable participants to identify the most appropriate experimental approaches and strategies for data treatment and spectral interpretation to study a peculiar kind of reaction. A special emphasis will be given to synergistic approaches associating various spectroscopic techniques.

The School is supported by the French Council of Scientific Research (CNRS), and will be chaired by Dr Alberto Mezzetti (Associate Professor, Sorbonne University, Paris) and Dr Josefine Schnee (CNRS Researcher, Sorbonne University, Paris). The preliminary program includes a poster session and a visit of scientific laboratories in the Paris area.

The number of places is limited to 100 (speakers and organizers included)
We therefore ask you to send a short CV and a motivation letter to josefine.schnee@sorbonne-universite.fr
****Deadline for inscription & payment: February 28th, 2023****
