Master 2 in Integrative Biology and Physiology - Ageing and Longevity track

The Ageing and Longevity track introduces the multidisciplinary topic of ageing, with its associated disease processes and societal impact, related to the increasing life expectancy of the population.  Our program addresses the fundamental concepts of cellular ageing and their effects on organs and organisms, individuals and our society. It provides an in-depth understanding of age-related vulnerability to disease, resilience, tissue repair and maintenance of good health.

Brief Description

The objective of this course is to provide students with knowledge in the field of skeletal, cardiac and vascular muscle aging. The proposed program focuses on the specific problems of aging muscle tissue, associated pathologies and its impact on the quality of life.

Brief Description

This course unit includes the beginning of the research training. The objective of this course is to give students a conceptual and methodological training allowing them to acquire the necessary tools to conceive and manage a research project. The students will have to elaborate and implement an experimental approach allowing them to answer a given question: analysis of the state of a scientific question, design of an experiment, elaboration of an experimental protocol.

Brief Description

This course aim at giving an overview of the different pathological context leading to sensory defect. The physiological conditions of the diseases will be explored with an emphasis on how research advances can lead to therapeutic progress.

Brief Description

The aim of this course is to discuss in English scientific issues or topics that have societal repercussion. To achieve such goal, participants will be asked to work in small groups on a particular topic that they will present and discuss in front of the other participants.
