Elite sports program

The high-level sports mission is a tradition at Sorbonne Université (nearly 1,000 students have been welcomed since the program began). Sorbonne Université loves major sporting events that offer its community meaningful memories. This love of top-level competition is reflected in the tailor-made program we offer athletes, enabling them to blend sporting and academic excellence.

High-level sportspeople are admitted to the program independently.

You must also follow the Parcoursup for your post-baccalaureate admission to Sorbonne University.

Why choose Sorbonne University for your studies?

Blending your studies with the constraints of training, without any special arrangements, inevitably penalizes the student athlete. However, Sorbonne University has decided to face the challenge with you.

The university has created an attestation de sportif et sportive de haut niveau diplômés de Sorbonne University, co-signed by its president and the national technical director of the corresponding sports federation, to facilitate students' professional integration. In addition, cooperation agreements have been signed with the Institut national du sport, de l'expertise et de la performance (INSEP) and the regional directorate for youth and sports. The French National Olympic and Sports Committee has officially recognized the courses offered by Sorbonne University.

A charter for top-level student athletes was created in 1999. Upon signing it, the athlete agrees to respect the ethics of competitive sport, in particular with regard to doping. They represent the university in competitions.

Academic ability and motivation will be taken into account.

Before applying to the university to join the elite sports program, make sure you meet all the following criteria:

    be recognized as a high-level sportsman or sportswoman:
* be registered with the Ministry of Health, Youth and Sport (elite, senior, youth, hope),
   *or be a national-level practitioner,
   *or be an INSEP student;
meet the conditions for enrollment in cycle L, M or D;
adhere to the Sorbonne University high-level sports student charter.
