Join an association
To express your creativity, develop collaborative projects, learn, discover, socialise, exchange, cultivate new skills or have fun, you can join an association and get fully involved in campus life!
Why join an association?
Student associations play an active role in campus life through the many projects they devise for the whole community. Joining a student association is beneficial for several reasons:
- From the very first year at the faculty, associations help new students with their studies, provide assistance with courses, enabling them to discover the campus in a different way or develop projects based on shared interests. What is more, they encourage discussion about the student's course of study, which can be useful for group work.
- Joining an association also means meeting new people from all walks of life. This personal enrichment is an opportunity to develop skills alongside your studies, such as managing cash flow and accounting, public speaking, running workshops, developing larger-scale projects with faculty teams or taking an active part in university councils.
- In addition, the faculty offers a "UE initiatives et engagement étudiant" (student initiatives and commitment), enabling students to make the most of their commitment, with recognition in the diploma and the validation of ECTS credits.

Within a student association, you can give your time and commitment according to your availabilities, but also work on projects according to your interests:
Choose to get involved in the association's board, support an event as a volunteer, or simply take advantage of the association's services as a member. Overall, associative life is a rewarding way to express creativity, develop collaborative projects, learn, meet and exchange ideas, and have fun!
There are many associations and they are classified on the site according to their main activity:
Student representative associations
Student representative associations defend students' rights and represent them on university councils. There are a number of local and national representative bodies involved in university decision-making and policies. The elected student representatives on your campus work on a daily basis to improve living and studying conditions for all.
Curriculum associations
These associations aim to promote cohesion between students in the same field of study, by offering a range of services: support for first-year students, help with their training, provision of courses or books, mentoring, help with finding a job, etc. They also develop ancillary projects in the field corresponding to their course of study. They also develop related projects in the field corresponding to the course.
Cultural associations
Cultural associations enable people to express themselves in a variety of fields (theater, cinema, photography, music, video games, scientific culture, etc.). They encourage the practice of cultural activities, as well as encounters around a particular theme. Promoting well-being and the development of cross-disciplinary skills, these associations enliven campus life by taking part in the university's cultural projects, disseminating scientific and artistic culture on campus and presenting it to external audiences.
Solidarity associations
Some associations decide to commit themselves to a cause, be it social, charitable or environmental. This civic commitment takes the form of a wide range of actions, both on and off-campus, to raise awareness of a common theme.
Sports associations
More than 40 individual and team sports are on offer, giving you the chance to improve your skills, take part in training courses, tournaments and university competitions, and show initiative and responsibility as part of a team, as an elected member of a section or through the creation of a collaborative project.
