Disability-specific assistance
1- Welcome and support - special accomodations
The Crous de Paris offers a special support system for students with disabilities, or those suffering from a disorder recognized by the MDPH (Maison Départementale des Personnes Handicapées). There is a special procedure for entering university residences, and a social worker is on hand to help you.

2- Scholarships based on social criteria
Higher education grants based on social criteria are awarded according to your income, studies and disability. There are special provisions for students with disabilities recognized by the MDPH.

3- Specific financial aid for the disabled
A multi-disciplinary team working for the Commission des droits à l'autonomie des personnes handicapées (CDAPH) assesses the needs of disabled people within the Maison départementale des personnes handicapées (MDPH).
Depending on your income and degree of disability, you may qualify for special financial assistance.

The SSE also supports students with disabilities in their early adult lives and helps them preserve their health:
- advice and medical certificates;
- general medical consultations, sports medicine;
- contraception and gynecology
- speech therapy assessments ;
- nutrition and foot reflexology ;
- vaccinations, etc.
The department's doctors, appointed by the MDPH, certify the disability situation and issue the medical opinions required to benefit from specific study and examination arrangements.
Consultations by appointment are free of charge.
The Department of Physical and Sports Activities (DAPS) and the Student Health and Disability Service (SHSE) work together to facilitate sports activities for students with disabilities. A wide range of activities are on offer.
If you have specific needs relating to access to Sorbonne University libraries and the services they offer, the libraries' disability advisors are there to answer your questions.
Upon request, students with disabilities benefit from preferential loan conditions. The libraries also offer access to a wide range of online resources from campus computers or remotely.
