TASSEP

Thanks to its Academic Council of Science Professors, working in close collaboration with their offices abroad, TASSEP ensures that students have the best possible information on course selection, and facilitates the resolution of problems in obtaining values for courses taken abroad.

TASSEP

Application deadline

November 25, 2024 at 12 p.m.

for a departure in 2025-2026

The TASSEP program makes it possible to spend a semester or a year in one of our partner universities in Canada or the USA, from L2 to M2, while remaining a Sorbonne University student.

To apply, you must :

  • Be enrolled at Sorbonne University during the year preceding your departure abroad.
  • Have completed the 1st year of your bachelor's degree.
  • Have a minimum average of 13/20 in the previous year of application.
  • No tuition fees at the host university.
  • Sorbonne Université diploma awarded after validation of the study period. Only the courses or work mentioned in the teaching contract will be taken into account for the validation of the diploma, on presentation of the certificates of achievement issued by the host university.
  • Students participating in the program are responsible for their own travel, accommodation, health insurance and third-party liability/repatriation costs.
  • Students with scholarships continue to benefit from the national higher education grant based on social criteria.

01 - Make an appointment as soon as possible with Anne-Lise POQUET, TASSEP Sorbonne University coordinator, to inform her of your interest in applying for the program and to obtain all the information you need about the program and its selection process.

02 - Visit the TASSEP website (if the site doesn't display on Chrome, try using another browser).

03 - A personal interview will then be arranged with Ms POQUET if you wish to take part in the Sorbonne Université selection process.
Please prepare :
- Covering letter in English addressed to the European TASSEP manager
- CV in English
- Your transcripts since L1

After this first phase, you arrange a meeting with your mobility coordinator to discuss your mobility and make the best choice of universities and teaching units for your study plan.

You can choose up to 4 universities and rank them in order of preference:

choice 1 = gold - choice 2 = silver - choice 3 = bronze - choice 4 = bottom of the podium

Never contact the universities directly; your selection file will be prepared by the Sorbonne Université TASSEP coordinator only.

Universities in the TASSEP network do not require you to have a TOEFL certificate, but a good level of English is strongly recommended, as you will be taught in English.

As proof of your level of English, CLES B2 is required.

Contact the language department to find out when you can take the CLES B2 exam.

The CLES B2 is recognized as valid by all TASSEP partner universities.

Apply via the link to the International Mobility Office of the Faculty of Science and Engineering: MoveON

01 - Choose 3 universities: choice 1, choice 2, choice 3 (you can choose universities located in different countries and continents)

02 - Validate your MoveON before the deadline

03 - Send a PDF copy of your application to Anne Lise POQUET

The Sorbonne University selection committee will contact you in December to let you know whether your application has been accepted.

The final decision on your selection by the European consortium will be made by mid-February at the latest.

Guide

01 - Don't wait until the last minute to put together your application. You'll need time to meet Mrs POQUET and collect, among other documents, proof of your language level, copies of your transcripts, etc.!

The same goes for submitting your application to the mobility office... Late applications will not be accepted!

02 - Be sure to consult the website of the university to which you are applying.

In particular, check the list of courses open to international exchange students, as well as the list of documents required to apply.

03 - You will be informed directly of the outcome of your application by the host university.

It is therefore imperative that you notify Mrs POQUET and the International Mobility Office of the university's decision, or of any withdrawal on your part.
