Heritage and culture
From musical acoustics to the physico-chemical analysis of materials used in the plastic arts, our research units have developed unique and rare expertise in contributing to the study of the different means of interpretative and aesthetic expression.
If heritage has traditionally been associated with the human and social sciences, with both its tangible and intangible dimensions, our scientific research teams also contribute today to understanding the contemporary challenge of preserving it, particularly by focusing on understanding the structure and functioning of the material elements that constitute heritage.
