M2 - Second year Master’s
The second year of the Master's programme (M2) corresponds to a specialisation cycle (60 ECTS) that focuses on a more research-oriented and/or more professionally-oriented theme.
The third semester (S3)
S3 is organized in a similar way for all M2 themes, with a specialization UE (12 ECTS) specific to the theme followed, a project UE (6 ECTS) and a scientific analysis UE (6 ECTS), all or part of which are devoted to personal work, and an opening UE (6 ECTS or 2 x 3 ECTS) to be chosen from those offered by the "Molecular and Cellular Biology" major or by other Sorbonne University master's programs.

The teaching schedule for each theme is specific to each pathway and will be communicated to students at the start of the academic year.
Le fourth semestre (S4)
The final semester (S4) is devoted exclusively to a long internship (30 ECTS) in a research laboratory - public or private - or in a company. The internship is the subject of a written report and an oral presentation.
